Around four months ago I planted a few small marijuana sprouts in a sunny pasture on our property. It is legal to grow up to six plants per person in our county in California. I wanted to see how a few plants would do. This is my first venture into growing the plant.
I now know exactly why California Marijuana is so popular: the plants thrive in hot, Mediterranean climates with long summers provided they are watered profusely.
These plants grew much faster and larger than I thought they would; so much that the branches started breaking because of how heavy the buds are.
Today I cut all the branches that were sagging near the ground so I could hang them for drying. The rest I will leave on the plant and let them cure in the sun.
I have more marijuana than I can possibly use, so much of it will go to friends. Unfortunately it is still illegal to mail or transport across state lines, so this will have to stay in California. My hope is that in the near future it will be legal across the U.S and more.
