I am very curious if anyone out there is doing prep work as the U.S. is imploding in on itself. I am fairly certain of a few things:
Price increases on pretty much everything
Government assistance programs being shut down
Essential services being pared back due to budget cuts and mass layoffs (thanks DOGE)
I also have a hunch that there will be various shortages, social unrest and possible mass detentions, but that is purely speculative at this point, although I was correct in 2009 and also right before Covid shutdowns hit, and had made some plans beforehand that certainly helped us weather the worst of it.
Currently, we have made a small (maybe a few months worth) stockpile of items that we use daily. We are also building out our garden and have a chicken-coop in the plans.
