Because of the massive amount of rain California has received this winter, the fields on our property will be growing abundant amounts of grass, which I would typically have to weed-whack a few times to keep the grass down because of fire concerns.
This year I have finally purchased a couple of Blackbelly Sheep (ewes) and a Painted Desert sheep (ram).
Both types are "hair" sheep, which means I will not have to sheer them. They are also supposed to be very hearty and heat-tolerant.

Mike Macgirvin are you familiar with these type of sheep? I am curious if anyone out there has experience with them.
