Pretty mild winters where I'm at. It only gets to about -2C. Last snow was in 2016. Not doing anything special for the chooks. As long as they have a roof over their head and a windbreak they'll be fine.

I thought as much, since you have mentioned in the past that the weather there is similar to California. We have since moved to Michigan, and I am putting together a chicken coop.
This time I need to think about freezing weather. In the past it was enough to give the chickens a dry place out of the wind.

I can't think of much beyond the 100W incandescent to pump
any
kind of heat into something. Used to do that in Colorado so cars would crank on the colder days there. Put it under the hood.
Probably have to inquire more locally...
