Have a crock full of fermented pickles, so like natural sauerkraut and not those vinegar things you get in the supermarket. They're quite good. Had a good cucumber harvest, so here will be more. Actually, best harvest in years.

This is funny. My wife and I were just now discussing her garden and wondering what she should grow. My first suggestion was cucumbers. The last several years were terrible for cukes, except in 2012 when we had a very wet winter and then her cucumbers, cantaloupes and squash all grew like mad.

We also make the salted ferment pickles, which taste odd at first but then become addictive. My wife thinks it is because of some lactobacillius that we need is depleted by our american diets...suddenly given a huge dose of from the ferments.

We're your polar twin in the climate emergency. Things usually happen here, then California, then the rest of the world. So we've had horrible harvests since the apocalypse began. This summer was a brief respite and was neither to wet or too scorched, so it may be the best harvest we'll ever have.

Quite unfortunately, you are probably right. But you never know. Things seem to be wildly unpredictable
